We arrived in England on August 10, and stayed in a hotel on base until we were able to move into our house on Aug. 31. We were lucky and were able to stay in one of the hotel houses, so that made the long stay a lot more comfortable.
One Saturday we explored a nearby park to get out of the house.

(L) We mailed ourselves some toys specifically for the hotel stay, and the boys were quite content.
(R) For some reason the car seats were in the house. They're watching a movie.

Our first pub experience (Lucas is drinking sparkling apple juice). The meal was nothing great, but they had a delicious apple pie with a layer of caramel on top.

One of our first outings was to a small village called St. Ives.

There are lots of swans here (and wasps, and spiders, and the most obnoxious flies ever).

Lucas even has his seat belt done up. The cars on the floor is too cute.
