Teeth!

Jack now has one front bottom tooth poking through, and the other front bottom tooth is visible and not far behind. I just noticed it tonight. My baby is growing up too fast! How do I slow him down?! (It was not easy to get him to hold still for these pictures, so you can hardly see anything.) I was surprised to see a tooth because Jack has been perfectly happy and normal recently; he's given no indication that he was uncomfortable. He is such a good boy.

At bedtime (when he is tired) Jack gets really excited and laughs a lot. Here is a video of him tonight. I just love to see those chubby legs kick!

By the way, he now rolls over all the time back and forth. I think he is enjoying his new mobility.

Jack Rolls Over!

We are pleased to announce that Jack has finally started rolling over! I know 7 months is a little late to be learning that, but when you're a big boy with a big head it's not so easy. He has been developmentally on track in every way except being late rolling over, so I am very happy that he has finally reached this milestone. Yay, Jack!

Uncle Dallon's Visit

My brother, Dallon, had a long weekend break from the army, so he came to visit us! Aaron's mother and her husband were also here, but unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of them this time.

Obama Rally in Baltimore

Aaron, Jack and I attended our first political rally yesterday in Baltimore. First we stood outside in line for at least an hour in frigid temperatures waiting to get in. (I had so many layers on Jack he seriously looked like Randy from "A Christmas Story." He was all stiff!) Once we got in we waited almost 2 hours for Obama to come on stage. It was good once Obama got there, although Jack didn't like the whole experience at all. The crowd's loud cheering upset him, so the lady behind us let him use her earmuffs.

He mentioned the great turnouts he had had at his rallies across the country, and he made reference specifically to the big crowd at his rally in Idaho! I think people are still shocked by the turnout in Boise, and I think it was because presidential candidates never pay Idaho any attention. If you didn't know, he was originally supposed to speak in Utah, but canceled that out of respect for President Hinckley's funeral, and went to Idaho instead.

National Zoo

Saturday we went to the National Zoo with our friends, the Pettys. My favorite are the elephants, but Jack didn't seem too interested in any of the animals. I think he just enjoyed the nice walk.

Watching "The West Wing" & Sleeping

Aaron actually finished the last season of "The West Wing" the other night, so we ended an era that lasted a few years. We'll miss President Bartlet and the staff. :)

He's so cute when he's asleep. Too often I have to take a picture of it.
