As we drove from Kinvarra in Clare County towards Kerry County, we happened across these incredible ruins, which we later discovered are the ruins of the Kilmacduagh Monastery.
(L) We've noticed in Ireland and in England that cemeteries next to old church ruins are often still used for new burials. This cemetery had many recent grave stones.
(Right) There was no ground-level entrance to this tower. The large window depicted above was likely the entrance.
We took a ferry across the River Shannon to cross over into Kerry County.
(Above) Cute little Noelle
(R) A random village we drove through.

Call me strange but I adore old cemetaries. The headstones just fascinate me. This together with all these old ruins is great!!
