Between Christmas and New Year, we spent a day at Warwick Castle, which is about an hour away from our home. This castle is much different than your average European castles, which either offer ruins to be explored or have some preserved or restored furnished rooms that you can tour. Warwick was operated more like a theme park, with employees dressed in medieval attire and acting in various medieval roles, live demonstrations and shows, narrated tours and hands-on activities.

(Above) We had a great view of some bright green grassy fields from atop one of the castle towers. We've been surprised at how green England is, even during winter-time.

Incredible! Adelaide would be in heaven there! She constantly plays pretend princesses and fairies! That castle looks so beautiful too, and how wonderful it is so interactive and fun for kids. The adults dressing up in costumes reminds me of the renaissance festival here in Maryland. Anyway, beautiful photos and thank you for sharing!

Oh, and "stay away from the edge. Lucas, get back here." Stated by Harmony many times while on the castle wall. Why do you think he is kneeling? When kids don't want to go somewhere they drop to the ground.
