After visiting Siena, we headed for San Gimignano. Unfortunately we arrived at sunset, so we weren't able to spend much time in this town. It can be difficult to get an early start on vacation in the morning, especially when there are two little ones in the mix. Between the late start in the morning and the 2 hour drive from Pisa to Siena and additional 45 minutes to San Gimignano, we were pressed for time. San Gimignano, a medieval walled town, is famous for its towers.
The Tuscan countryside below was beautiful, even during winter.

We've only been there in the summer and it's much more crowded. It looks really nice in the winter when it's empty!
Beautiful pictures. Thanks Aaron.
