Belgium Trip

Aleks and family accompanied us on a trip to Belgium Thanksgiving weekend. We saw the Waterloo battlefields, toured the city of Bruges, and visited a World War I museum and sites.

Jack & Isaac -- UPDATED

Aaron's brother, Aleks, and his family came to visit us for 10 days, arriving on Thanksgiving morning. Jack and his cousin, Isaac, are 7 months apart, and they had a great time together. Jack is still saying, "Isaac, plane."

Trip to the playground on Thanksgiving Day: apparently the snacks were the highlight of the trip.

These beautiful images were captured by Uncle Aleks. Thank you!

Misc. from November

All I can say is I love being a mom!

(R) There are bigger dogs here than I have ever seen before!
This pair was walking on the path behind our house.

German Toddler Gymnastics Class

Sorry about my absence from blogging the past month! Things have been extremely busy around here. But I've been told by both sides of grandparents that it's time to get back to it.

Several weeks ago we went with some friends to a toddler gymnastics class, in which the kids got to run around and chase balls, and climb on gym equipment. Winters are long here and I was looking for something for Jack to do, and he loved it. We'll be going back again soon. (Sorry these pictures are bad quality.)

(L) Jack is in the blue & yellow shirt. (R) I liked this action shot of Jack and Charlotte.

(L) Many of the German kids were wearing these tights, most of them boys. Our American kids were the only ones there wearing jeans. (R) Look how high this is...for toddlers!

Halloween

Jack wore the same lion costume he did last year, but refused to wear the hood. I just loved this behind view with all the padding.

Jack and the other kids had a good time playing with balloons at the Trunk or Treat. This was Jack's first time trick-or-treating (he couldn't walk last year), and he got a lot of German candy.

And Lucas went as Winnie the Pooh.

Too many cute pictures, I had to share several of them with you. Lucas is such a fun baby; makes me want to have more.

Playtime

More pics from the playground near our house.

This camel toy is really fun. I tried it.

(L) Little diaper bum; (R) He is looking so old! He is the same size as all the 3-year-olds we know.

I just loved the image of this little tiny person next to this big structure. (L) See that tunnel slide at the very top? That's the one Jack loves to go down. We just have to help him get up there. Love these German playground toys. They are so high and dangerous.

(L) Lucas turning backwards to see the TV; (R) He really likes this toy, and I'm glad, since Jack never liked it.

Lucas & Birthday

Look at this precious little one! Lucas is a very happy baby. He smiles and laughs a lot. He also rolls over!

In other news, Aaron is one year older.
